Bangladeshi Community carried Cleanliness drive in Hull

Bangladeshi expatriate volunteers carried out a community cleanliness drive across Pearson Park and surrounding areas on Wednesday afternoon, working for several hours to improve the local environment.

During the cleanup, volunteers collected a wide range of discarded items including abandoned cans, glass bottles, clothing, empty product packets, boxes, and wrappers. All gathered waste was deposited at the designated disposal point.

The initiative was led by Matasin Ali, President of the Hull Education and Cultural Association (HECA), a community-based organisation. It drew participation from local officials, community leaders, and members of the Bangladeshi community.

Taking part were Abhimanyu Singh, Hull City Councillor for Avenue Ward; MD Kawser Ahmed, Publisher and Editor of HumanVoice.News; Mohammad Shahjahan Mushfiq Chowdhury, Vice-President of HECA; Mahmud Hossain, General Secretary of HECA ; Humayun Ahmed, Secretary of Kingston Badminton Club; along with Burhan Uddin, Oliur Rahman, MD Mostaq Ahmed Chowdhury Shayekh, and other volunteers.

Before the drive began, opening addresses were delivered by Councillor Abhimanyu Singh, Matasin Ali, MD Mostaq Ahmed Chowdhury Shayekh, and Humayun Ahmed, who outlined the campaign`s goals and encouraged participants.
